Bulldogs Bulletin

As we have started our new school year here at Claiborne High, we have had several positive happenings. Principal T.J. Sewell as well as other faculty ordered the entire student body matching shirts with the new Bulldog logo: “Bulldog Strong.” These shirts are to be worn every football game day and encourage a stronger sense of school spirit, with the class having the most students wearing the shirts earning a prize. Thank you to everyone who sponsored these shirts as they have proven to be a big hit!

This year Claiborne High has over 100 students in dual enrollment at either Walters State Community College or the Tennessee College of Applied Technology and those classes are currently under way.

On the sports spectrum, the Bulldogs girls’ soccer team season is under way, as well as the Cross Country team. Bulldog football had their first big win of the season on Aug. 26 against Union County with a final score of 46-0. Last Friday the Dogs had their first home game against Chuckey Doak with the annual Glo Games. The Bulldog family would like to encourage the community to come out Friday night to Claiborne High for the annual rivalry game with Cumberland Gap, starting at 7:30.
