BIG STONE GAP, Va. — The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park will host its next event in this year’s weekly “Lunch on the Lawn” series beginning at noon on June 26, featuring Jim Gates & the KeyKeepers.
Jim Gates and the KeyKeepers, based in Duffield, Va., was originally formed in Jonesville, Va. in the early 1990s. The band enjoys performing both classic country and gospel music. One of the band’s goals is to keep classic gospel and country music alive, never to be forgotten.
The current members have been together for approximately 10 years and have recorded four albums: Classic Country, Classic Country Gospel, Classic Country Gospel II and Classic Country Western.
The “Lunch on the Lawn” event is free and open to the public.
Visitors may bring their own lunch or pre-order one from the museum for $5 each. This week’s featured menu is ham and cheese sliders, veggies with dip, dessert and choice of beverage.
