A late night wreck in Harrogate Wednesday left several people injured, including a Middlesboro man.
According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Phyllis Castle, 40, of Harrogate, was traveling west on Shawanee Road and Ryan Miracle, 18, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, was traveling east on Shawanee Road when Miracle’s vehicle “crossed over the double yellow line and struck (Castle’s) vehicle on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Castle’s vehicle started spinning and went off the left side of the roadway.”
“(Miracle’s) vehicle started spinning and lost control and went up embankment and came to rest on top of a concrete wall,” it concludes.
The wreck occurred at approximately 11:53 p.m.
Castle was taken to the Claiborne Medical Center for injuries. She was wearing a seat belt, according to the report. Her passenger was not injured. No charges are pending against Castle.
Miracle was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville for injuries. His passengers were all juveniles, according to THP. Two females were also taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville for injuries.
Charges against Miracle are pending, according to the report.
The wreck is still under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
