Yes — you can take charge of your diabetes.
If you have diabetes or care for someone who does participating in the free “Take Charge of Your Diabetes” classes will give you tools to help you manage your diabetes.
Carol Brandon with UT/TSU – Claiborne County Extension and Tammy Hamby with the Claiborne County Health Department will be offering two six-week classes to help you “Take Charge of Your Diabetes.”
The six-week class will be held on Wednesdays. One will be offered at the Claiborne County Health Department in New Tazewell from 9–11 a.m. each Wednesday, beginning July 1. The other will be offered at Servolution Health Services at 245 School Road, Speedwell, from 1–3 p.m. beginning July 1.
This is a free class participants are asked to commit to attend all of the sessions if possible. Incentives will be given and all participants who attend at least four sessions will have their name put in for a door prize.
