Two local members of the military recently expressed their gratitude to local law enforcement.

U.S. Marine Corps representatives Cody Evans and Ty Gibbs served local law enforcement a luncheon July 14 as a show of appreciation. Both county and city officers were invited to attend.

“What an honor for our men and women of our United States military to stand together with our law enforcement officers,” said Sheriff David Ray. “Sacrifices are made each day from our men and women in uniform, being military or police, that shows honor to our great nation.”

Ray extended his appreciation to all service men and women.

“We appreciate your support and we thank you,” he said.
