Homecoming will soon be upon us at Claiborne High School. On Oct. 12, Claiborne High School will be hosting a Trojan Tailgate. Parents should drop students off in the football parking lot, where the students will be having a club and sport team sponsored breakfast. Parents will be able to pick up a snack for themselves as well. Drivers will park in their regular spots.

Once again, the themes for Homecoming week are as follows: ‘Merica Monday, Tacky Tourist Tuesday, What Do You Wanna Be Wednesday, Not Twinning Thursday, and Bulldog Friday.

College Application week was a huge success. Last Friday, the guidance office along with GEAR UP hosted a college “speed dating” event. In this event, seniors were able to visit with representatives from different colleges and ask questions about each college. As a reminder, the FAFSA opened Oct. 1 and should be completed as soon as possible in order to ensure maximum funding for your child’s college education.

Bulldogs football took on Johnson County last week and suffered a defeat. This Friday the Bulldogs will take on Elizabethton at Elizabethton with a kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
