Kendall Walker of New Tazewell is a loser — in a good way. Walker won the Biggest Loser contest in Tazewell, which ended Monday evening. Walker’s total weight loss was just under 60 lbs., and his total weight loss percentage was around 18 percent. For his hard work, Walker received a check for $400. He is pictured here with Carol Brandon, member of the Claiborne County Health Council, a co-sponsor of the program. Second place went to Deb Jolly, who won $300. The contest was also sponsored by the Tazewell United Methodist Church. Another contest will kick off after the first of the year, according to Brandon.
