The 2016 Tazewell Speedway season has ended and had a lot of ups and downs for its champions in every class but finally there were excellent drivers standing on the top of the points standings.
In the Limited Late Model Class, Jason Trammell was the class of the field but battled Dakotah Knuckles and Brian Shockley until the end. The Championship went to Trammell, second to Knuckles and Shockley finished third. Jonathan Miracle and good friend Clyde Overholt finished in the first and second place in Sportsman with Michael Boyd finishing third.
In Open Wheels, Don Adams finished ahead of Billy Palmer and Jody Puckett to win the championship. In the fan favorite Super Stock division, Brad Davis got to lift the championship trophy with Cody Thompson finishing just behind in second place. Austin Neely surprised everyone with his talent and consistency throughout the year at multiple tracks but at Tazewell he finished third in the points. The Classic Cars Championship trophy went to John Stevens. Tim Stevens and Josh Chesney finished second and third respectively.
Chuck McMahan still showed his mastery over the high banks grabbing another championship in the Four Cylinders class. Bubby Braden finished holding the second place trophy and Danny Pennington finished third.
Tazewell Speedway thanks all the drivers, crews, fans and staff for another great season of racing.
