The Midway Lady Red Devils played host to the Wynn Lady Bulldogs Oct. 25. The Devils had to withstand a run by the Bulldogs to finish the game with a win at 28-18.

The Red Devils had little trouble opening up a nice ten point advantage but coming out of the locker room the Lady Bulldogs quickly found their stride. The Red Devils kept placing points on the board during the first half and led the ball game 18-4. Wynn decided to play a little basketball themselves in the third period and outscored the Devils 10-5.

Midway then steadied the ship to finish the third period with a 23-14 lead and never looked back winning the game 28-18.

Gracie Ray provided the bulk of the Midway offense as she dropped in 11 points with teammate Chelsey Harvey adding five. Emma Myatt played well defensively while adding four points offensively. Madison Lynch also scored four points. Reagan Lester and Kinley Cox had three points and one point respectively.

Leona Douglas and Nevaeh Kruse co-led the Lady Bulldogs with eight points each. The Midway cheer team and dance team provided the sideline and halftime entertainment to a stand full of fans.
