The Springdale Owls traveled to Powell Valley Elementary November 15 to battle their cross-county foe Indians in a match up between fifth and sixth grade basketball teams.

Just as the Lady Owls had done during the previous game, the boys jumped all over the Indians early on. During the first period, the Indians were outscored 8-1.

Ethan Cupp went off during the second period for the Owls as he scored all seven points for his team but the Indians found their groove as well and placed six points on the board as well. At the half, Springdale led 15-7.

Coming out of the halftime break the Owls caught fire again and ripped ten points through the nets while the home team only managed one point.

The two teams played great defense during the final period as both scored two points and allowed the same.

The final score was 27-10 with the Owls enjoying the ride back to Springdale because of the victory.

Ethan Cupp wowed the crowd with 17 points while team mate Brennan Fugate finished with six. Rounding out the Owls total was Brady Hamlin with four points.

Powell Valley was led in scoring by Devin Byrd and his seven points while the remaining points were provided by Hyrum Hinckley.
