Finally, the talented cheer and dance teams of Claiborne County middle school varsity basketball will have their own day to shine.

Midway Elementary will host the 2016 Claiborne County Varsity Cheer and Dance Competitions Dec. 10 starting at 9 a.m. and continuing through 1 p.m. in the Red Devils’ gymnasium. The admission will be $3 and this event will provide a time dedicated to only cheer and dance instead of trying to pack all of this action into the basketball tournament like in the past.

The interest in cheer and dance has grown so much over the past few years that it was time to give these teams a chance to shine without competition from the basketball games themselves.

Everyone is invited out to the event and concessions will be available.
