The Tazewell Rage put their undefeated record up June 2 against the Red Birds from Rutledge on a cloudy and cool evening in a double header.

Coming into this game, the Rage were ready to play but as soon as the game was underway they quickly discovered they had a fight on their hands. After one complete inning, the newly assembled score board remained at zero for both teams as they felt each other out.

The Red Birds took flight in the top of the second, and put five runs on the board. The Rage tried to rally back in the bottom of the inning, but only generated a single run.

The Red Birds added another run during the third, expanding the lead to 6-1 after the Rage failed to answer in the bottom of the inning.

The Red Birds took off again during the top of the fourth and placed five more runs on the scoreboard and got the Rage a little flustered. The Rage met at their dugout and convinced each other to give a little more effort. They got to the pitching staff of the Red Birds and forced them to change the man on the mound as they scratched back into the game. Behind 11-4 with the bases loaded, the third out was made and the time limit ended the game. The final score remained 11-4.

The two teams battled once more in the second game of the double header with the Red Birds getting the sweep 8-2.
