The third and final game during the CYFC pink weekend belonged to the Pee Wees. The Bulldogs battled the Talbott Titans in one last meeting Oct. 8. The Bulldogs got their third win of the evening games in convincing fashion.
The Titans got the ball first but the Bulldogs defense rose up to stop the Titans drive. It was a Titan pass that was intercepted, lost up in the air and then intercepted again by another Bulldog that stopped that drive. Jaris Bunch began running the ball north and south on the Titans and that type of rushing attack would be used by the coaches the rest of the game. C.J. Cox got the first TD of the game for the Bulldogs and Bunch added the extra point to give the home team a 7-0 advantage.
Evan Thomas got the Bulldogs second TD of the game by using a spin move to break free down the sidelines. Bunch again added the extra point and was looking good in the second quarter leading 14-0. Bunch got the call again and again on the Bulldogs next drive and with a third and two as the half was ending could not get another score across the goal line to lead 14-0 at the half.
Bunch punched another TD over the line with 3:04 showing on the clock. The point after try failed but the Bulldogs led 20-0. That was the score after three quarters of play.
The only score in the final quarter belonged to the Titans that scored on a long 70-yard play with seconds left in the game. The point after try was good and the score was 20-7. The Bulldogs closed out the game taking home a 20-7 victory.

Just before this game, the pink program was held and cancer survivors and those walking in honor of those lost to the disease were graciously and lovingly acknowledged and presented with gifts, flowers and balloons that were released into the dark sky. It was another attention grabbing tribute to those who are fighting the disease, have fought or sadly lost their fight. Special events like this assure that those people will never be forgotten. The CYFC thanks all who helped out with this special event.
