The bond in the Tony Harrison trial has been reduced to 500-thousand dollars.

The case has now been turned over to the Criminal Court of Claiborne County under Judge Shane Sexton.

On Monday, Judge Sexton reduced the bond after hearing the case and considering statutes with bonds.

“Part of the argument that Judge Sexton heard was the fact that Harrison had no prior criminal history,” Sheriff David Ray said, “That was taken into account when his bond was reduced.”

The court date for motions has been set to take place in February.

Harrison was indicted by the State of Tennessee on September 9 with the charge of first-degree murder.

The alleged murder took place on July 8 at 145 Mariah Lane.

Harrison is being held in the Claiborne County Jail.
