Sweater weather is here. What better way to spend cool autumnal days and evenings than to curl up with a great book, purchased for a song and a dance at the Claiborne County Public Library Fall Book Sale?
The popular week-long event promises to provide just the right reading and listening materials for the discriminating customer. Each crisp dollar will purchase one from the large assortment of hardbacks, DVDs and VHS movies, CDs, audio books and puzzles. Magazines and paperback books can be had for one thin dime, each.
Those hard to find trade books can be bought for just 50 cents a piece.
The book sale is slated for Oct. 2 through Oct. 7 inside the Library basement. Customers may peruse the aisles of materials from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Everything is sold ‘as is.’
Kids of every age will want to get their ‘spook’ on, come Oct. 28, as your Library hosts its annual Happy Halloween Party. Just some of the fun will include story time, costumes, trick-or-treat, games, snacks and much more.
The fun begins at 11 a.m. and will conclude at 1 p.m.
The Claiborne Public Library is located at 1304 Old Knoxville Road in Tazewell. For more information about these and other special programs, call Sandy, Teresa or Jami at 423-626-5414.
