Congressman John Duncan, Jr. has announced that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) in Washington, D.C. has approved a $350,000 grant to complete phase II of the waterline project down Little Sycamore Road.
When completed residents will have access to fresh water and will not have to rely on well water like they have for years.
“I’m very pleased that the ARC has released the $350,000 to complete phase II of this much needed project for the people on Little Sycamore Road. I am very happy for them,” said Duncan.
According to the Congressman’s 2nd District Field Representative Dave Chesney, “People will have the option to hook up to the waterline if they decide to do so.”
The public in this area is invited to stop by Liberty Church on Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. for some refreshments and to meet with Duncan personally.
