Knox County Mayor, and candidate for U.S. Congress, Tim Burchett, recently visited Claiborne County. Burchett began his day by visiting the courthouse and the City Hall in both Tazewell and New Tazewell. Burchett stopped in at a number of local businesses meeting business owners, employees, and patrons before heading to a meet and greet luncheon hosted by the Overholt family at Pizza Inn. From there, Burchett traveled to the Claiborne Campus of Walters State Community College where the campus dean, Kim Bolton, gave him a tour of the facility and spoke to him regarding the effort to begin a Boys’ and Girls’ Club in the community.
